The Sunderland MBA involves an estimated total study commitment of 900 hours. This means around 180 hours study time per eight-week module. Distance Learning allows participants to organize their study time according to their circumstances. However, contact with other students and staff is also an important part of the learning process, and appropriate emphasis is given to this at each stage in the programme. The University of Sunderland, through RDI Management Learning in Hong Kong, offer the MBA as a Top up degree for HKIBA's students.

Course Structure
The structure that makes up the MBA is given below. All four MBA modules (plus the dissertation) are core modules and are not optional. Please note that the content of the programme may change as a consequence of the University's Quality Assurance procedures. This is to ensure that the curriculum is constantly kept up to date.

Course Type
Assessment of the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) (top-up) is by coursework or examination

Support
Courses are delivered through optional face to face tutorials, printed study materials, and private study. Case studies, problem-solving exercises, reading, role plays, business games, audiovisual material, and company-based projects are all used from time-to-time throughout the programme. An Examination or submission of an assignment takes place at the end of module approximately every 8 weeks. Students' performance in assessments is considered by Examination Boards. Successful completion of all stages leads to the award of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Degree ceremonies take place twice a year in the UK.
